Keith Mann is a man of diverse talents that vary from a loyal member of the Animal Liberation Front to executive search director to author to philanthropist supporting the education of the younger generation; he does all with equal passion. Today, Keith Mann is an NYC entrepreneur who is leading the search industry.

According to Crunchbase, Keith Mann was born in Manchester England and grew up on his parent’s farm where he had many different types of animals. He obtained his business degree at the University of Nebraska where he met his wife.

Together they became involved in the Animal Rights Movement and took active positions against companies that used animals for testing human products. Mann demonstrated against an airport for transporting animals that were to be used in this manner.

In 2000, he lived in NYC and founded Dynamic Executive Search, DES, as CEO and daily manager. The firm focused on executive searches across NYC, but in 2002, he founded the Alternative Investment Practice directed towards hedge fund industry. It was a part of DES, which, in 2006, he increased to include the private equity industry as well. Mann also released his book on his experiences with animal liberation.

Hedge funds and private equities were growing, and soon Mann felt there was a need there for more services. He separated the alternative investments from the rest of the company and formed Dynamic Search Partners or DSP.

Today, in 2017, Keith Mann is acting CEO and manager of DSP, which has firms in Europe and Asia as well as the U.S. The agency supplies over 200 client mandates every year.

In 2013, he donated $10,000 to the Brooklyn school, and as Uncommon Schools opened a second school in Brooklyn, he and DSP businessman contributed $20,000 for the initial state exams and testing. In 2016, he and his wife founded a college scholarship fund for the Uncommon Schools in NYC.

While these philanthropic efforts have manifested themselves in a variety of ways, there are a few that specifically come to mind. Just last year, when there protests around New York City in regards to the police, Keith Mann and his wife decided to treat the entire 54th precinct to a catered lunch as a way of showing support and thanks for their efforts.

According to Crunchbase, Keith Mann’s family has been filled with police officers and detectives, so he understands the value of protecting law and order in a society. While he may not support all of the issues that are currently surrounding the police in this country, he still believes there is a responsible way for people to protest.

His efforts with the police were meant to exemplify this “middle ground,” and served as an effective benchmark for other groups to rethink their own efforts.

Aside from wading into politics, Keith Mann has also helped to directly fund efforts in New York communities to improve the education system. Keith Mann, as well as the rest of the board on Dynamic Search Partners, believes that education is one of the cornerstones of a successful community.

By working with a variety of charitable organizations to ensure that schools have access to the supplies they need, Mann has proven once again that America is about more than just who sits in the oval office.
